the hamas video
Mike Pence’s bid for the White House ends at Vegas more Here
There’s nothing more heart breaking in life than to see three hostages by Hamas in what obviously appeared to be their propaganda video, knowing that their families and the families of more than 200 hostage victims back home are watching this video in real time. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the video as “cruel propaganda”. The three Israeli women are named by the PM as, Rimon Buchshtab Kirsht (left), Danielle Aloni (center), and Lena Trupanov (right). They were abducted from Kibbutz Nir Oz. There are still around 243 hostages that are under Hamas, and the Israeli Defense Force believes that they are hidden by Hamas under the tunnel right in key areas around Gaza. Judith and Natalie Raanan was released by Hamas spearheaded by Qatari negotiators last October 21 and two days later, under humanitarian and health grounds, two Israeli hostages Nurit Cooper, 79, and Yocheved Lifschitz, 85, were also released to Egypt and they were turned over by Hamas through assistance by the local Red Cross. In the latest video Danielle emotionally delivered an obviously prepared message written by their captors directed at Israel’s PM’s Netanyahu’s failure to protect the civilians during the Hamas attack on Israeli soil. The video is hard to watch because you can really feel the tensions and fear in the eyes of the hostages even though it seems they were rehearsed to show emotions that their captors only wants the world to know. There was a moment in the video when Rimon tries to touch the arm of Danielle as she stares at the faces of their captors that are obviously standing in front of them behind the camera. It seems that she wanted to say something or she wants to remind Danielle of some key points that she needs to deliver. Meanwhile, it’s only through the end of the video when Lena said something. The main context of their message is technically directed to the Israeli people, and the government’s failure to protect the innocent civilians which is an ongoing debate in Israel. Most major news network will not published the video because the hostages are filmed under duress and not under their free will. Also, International laws protects the rights of hostages for their privacy, security and safety. But the chilling video reminds everyone that the other side of the story at Gaza talks about the pains and sufferings of the Israeli families as they wait for the fate of their loved ones under Hamas, which is designated as a terrorist organization. However, we also have to take into account that at Gaza there are thousands of casualties and majority of them are innocent women and children, and right now Gaza is still under bombardment. This is a very difficult situation for both sides, the International community can only hope that a humanitarian ceasefire and corridor will open and negotiations for the hostages will take place so Hamas can release more hostages to safety.
